In the book We by Zamatin, a Russian writer, part of the plot line is the main characters realization of how therough government surveillance became with the building of the firmament of communism. In one scene, the narrator realizes that even in the dead of night, even through the concrete and heavy brick walls he can hear all of the people in the apartments surrounding him. The walls of the apartment no longer exists, they are as if like glass. Anyone can see in and the only pair of eyes out are his own. Weary with a limit range of vision. He is but only one man.
At least one news service today talked about the transparency of the U.S. phone surveillance program that began after 911. {The significance of that event is domestic admission of internatinoal terrorism on home soil. It makes you wonder what was occuring before then on home soil. Domestic Terrorism. The American Jihad Movement? Hmm. Only comparative news and history could really tell and someones who could tell the public what really used to happen in the late 1980s through the late 1990’s. I am almost positive the attacks that happened during the 1960’s upon government installations and loss of human life has never *really* been properly discussed. If so, we’d realize the myth that military brats tell is a lie alltogether: There have been no wars on American soil since the Civil War. When you hide the field reports and the transmissions come coded over popular radio, no wonder no one knew.}
In technological realms, the human mind and body must learn to adjust. Similar to the difference between inner city living and rural quietness– some people are sustained by the noise, others crippled by it; some people are energized by the electricity and caffeine medication maintenance, others can’t gloss over the sights and sounds and seek to differentiate what is really being said, heard and why. Having a development of a thought, I realized what if television was two-way. Similar to the scene in Farenheit 451 when a charater was told to continue his excercises. There was no camera to transmit…..that could be seen. Also considering that digital television was sped up in an interest to leave analog channel signals open for government use, there is a suspicion in my mind that I’ll convey with a caveat to take it with a large grain of Dead Sea salt.
In high school I went to class with wizkids in the video taping realm. That is when video recorders where still at the edge of cost in the electronics market. It seems they could make anything seem like a live news cast. With computers and linking video capabilities in a phone or blackberry, etcetera, could anyone break the digital signal. If so, aybe just maybe God will finally arrive on channel 3 like a Chinese cult predicted a long time ago. Followed by spaceships of course. If so, we just hit the Fleece-A-Flock page when it comes to cybercrimes. If it is that easy to break in, what makes the day the arrival of big brother on all stations any easier.
The level of Surveillance {and personal paranoia} is the key to understanding what might b next. I remember the television news piece where the United States was taking advice and mentoring from France on running camera surveillance around cities. It’ll happen everywhere, if it is not already. If not for the simple fact of homelessness from foreclosures, rising unemployment and Presindt Obama’s calmness on the front of all things. {hmmph. Secretary of State Clinton seems more rattled.} Personally speaking, and I say this in a catty way that jobs will miraculously happen if not to keep all the people off the streets. Last night on local news was the comment that homelessness is on the rise in suburban areas. Something never heard of for some. A perception is that homelessness is a city thing. And in a county that was known for no homelessness or a low level, one has got to wonder about the rest of the state and the Union. Socialcism will be the stability point, temporarily. Communism, from what I know will have to be the driver to get small economic gain initally. Why are we not concerned with agriculture as much. Market the items people always need. And concentrate on what you do best. Develop from there.
I think my father was conjoling me into a horror story about governments. When he said even back in the 1970’s when Ma Bell was expanding. The underground computers that do the transfers have a keyword recognition. If you say one of the selected words that has been programmed in, your conversation gets recorded and sent to the government (which ever one that may be. Dad believes in shadow governments beyond what the CIA may purport or practice.) Inthe late 1990’s there was a few articles in print and televised media that said the FBI/CIA did not have enough people to translate all of the recordings that had been made. The clinch pin was the different languages. Not all of them were Arabic. Some dialects, but there were references, if I remember correctly to Eastern European countries and Asian as well. The surprise was some of the languages were African.
